Food constitute a major part of our health. Food that we eat is like medicine for our bodies. In order to live a healthy lifestyle we need to cook food that is healthy. Food is healthy when it has the nutrients needed for our body. Carbohydrates,proteins,vitamins and healthy fats is what constitute healthy food. Carbohydrates should be the non processed ones as well as proteins should be the good protein. Supplements should be taken because cooked food rarely has enough nutrients. Vitamins, protein shakes and minerals are some of the supplements that we should take.
To stay healthy we should exercise. The body must be engaged in exercise to ensure that the cells remain healthy. We can talk long walks or even enroll in a gym to do workouts. Cardio workout is very good in cutting down weight and it is good for our heart. Weight lifting is good for muscle building. Jogging in the morning is also another way we can stay fit . Working out in general will ensure that we maintain a healthy weight which is necessary when we are trying to stay healthy.
Since our body is mostly made of water we should ensure we drink a lot of it to stay healthy. Taking 8 glasses of water per day is recommended. Sweating and urinating helps remove toxins from the body which occur as a result of water intake. Water also prevents constipation and is also good for our for our digestive system. Fresh juices, green tea are some of the fluids that we can take on top of drink water.
Ensure you maintain a healthy mental well being. This is done by reducing the levels of stress in ones life. Overthinking about problems will lead to stress which is a mental disease and it can be very unhealthy. Since it distorts your emotions and feelings it is dangerous for your health. If not treated stress can lead to depression. If not treated on time depression being a mental disease can kill.
Maintaining a healthy body weight. To ensure a healthy life one must keep their weight healthy. BMI should be normal and it is calculated by considering the weight , height and age of a person. Being overweight could lead to diseases such as cancer, diabetes, heart problems etc.
